Transdroid odstranení z marketu
Po tom čo v nedávnom čase Google odstránil z marketu niektoré emulátory starých konzoly (PSX4Droid, Snesoid, Gameboid etc) pravdepodobne na nátlak herných spoločnosti, bol dnes odstránení program na vzdialené manažovanie torrentov v počítači Transdroid. Program, ktorý bol v markete dva roky a má cez 400 000 užívateľov, bol odstránení s týmto dodatkom:
This is a notification that the application, Transdroid Torrent Manager with package ID org.transdroid has been removed from Android Market due to a violation of the Developer Content Policy. Please review the Content Policies and Business and Program Policies before you create or upload additional applications.
Keďže program hosťuje ako open source paradoxne na Google Code pod GNU GPL v3 licenciou, obrátil sa autor sa na android market team s novou verziou (bez torrent vyhľadávania a ezRSS podpory) a s otázkou čo porušuje:
Dear Android Market Team,
Attached you will find an updated version of Transdroid. I kindly ask to consider reinstating Transdroid Torrent Manager on the Android Market by evaluating this new version. Since I have not received any details regarding the exact violations with the Android Market Content Policies, I have made the assumption that the violations applied to searching for media (as provides by internet sites and the now-removed Torrent Search application). This functionality has been removed.
Thank you for your consideration and hope to hear back regarding the reinstatement (or additional problems with the content policies) soon.

Odpoveď zatiaľ nedostal. Dočasne môžte sťahovať program na Google Code stránke.
Čo si o tomto jednaní myslíte vy? U emulátorov je vec viacmenej jasná, ale torrenty primárne niesú nelegálne a slúžia na výmenu dát cez P2P sieť. To čo si už cez nich ľudia zdieľajú (pravda, väčšinou sa jedná o warez) nieje záležitosť tvorcu torrent aplikácie.
